Transport of Intermodal Containers for Bulk Solid Materials

NAC Philotechnics has a range of rail flatcars available to transport intermodal containers measuring 20 to 45 feet in length. Depending on configuration, each railcar can carry two to eight containers per car, providing flexible and efficient transport solutions for bulk solid materials.

Available equipment includes:

Articulated Bulk Container (ABC) flatcars with 144‑ or 177‑ton capacity
Standard rail flatcars with 100‑ton capacity
Rail well flatcars designed for double‑stack shipments

Articulated Bulk Container (ABC) Rail Flatcar

The ABC rail flatcar is specifically engineered to support double‑stacked bulk container shipments. Its articulated design allows operation on any rail siding, including locations with restricted track curvature.
